Maria “China” Sánchez

Biography: Maria started playing soccer at 10 years old. A year later, she joined her first competitive soccer team. Maria then joined PV and found a supportive team that gave her the opportunity to play against other high-level teams. Maria considers her ambition to be her greatest strength as a student-athlete because she seeks out opportunities to keep improving. Her ability to quickly help her team transition from defending to attacking with well-placed passes is a great advantage to her team. Maria strives to play at a collegiate level because she genuinely has fun when competing against strong opponents.
